Julianne Odell
Photographer
Julianne Odell was born August 16, 1963 in
Fort Carson, Colorado. She was raised
in a typical 60s neighborhood in suburban Sacramento, CA. She became aware of the 60s movement when
Vietnam war clips and protests hit the airwaves. Julianne moved to the Haight Ashbury
neighborhood of San Francisco in the 80s and it was then that her desire to
learn more about the actual events of the 60s grew. After several years in the city, Julianne
felt it was time to move into "The Land of Trees," first in the
Rocky Mountains of Colorado and then on to Alaska. This was a time for her to be "On The
Road" and a "Dharma Bum," which has gifted her with the
ability to enjoy life in the moment, as it is. Her love of photography stems from
capturing that "life in the moment" experience. She is currently working as a freelance
photographer for the Community Voice newspaper and operates her own photography
business.
